He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of South Florida, is a graduate of Southern Police Institute at the University of Louisville and is a graduate of the FBI National Academy.

Major Pusins’ community service includes the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce, the Downtown Council, Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale, the Salvation Army’s Advisory Council, the Broward Partnership for the Homeless and as the first member of the Fort Lauderdale Police Department to serve on the Board of Directors for the Broward Coalition for the Homeless.
