COMPOSITE SKETCH OF WANTED SUBJECT
June 17, 2003
The Fort Lauderdale Police Department is releasing a composite sketch of a subject wanted in reference to an armed robbery that occurred shortly before noon on March 6, 2003
The robbery was of an independent jewelry salesman as he exited Leer’s Jewelers located at 1519 East Commercial Blvd. Three males that had exited a green van and approached the victim; the suspects were armed with a shotgun and handguns and robbed the victim of over $400,000.00 in jewelry. The suspects then fled in the van they had just exited.
The composite sketch being released is that of the suspect armed with the shotgun. He is described as a white Latin male, 30 years of age, 5’6”, and 130 pounds with straight dark hair. The suspect also has distinctive “high cheekbones.”

TRAFFIC CHECKPOINT
June 24, 2003
The Fort Lauderdale Police Department will be conducting a traffic checkpoint in the 1100 block of SW 27 Avenue on Wednesday, June 25, 2003 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and Noon.
Officers will be checking vehicles and drivers for proper paperwork and licenses.
There are no traffic delays expected as a result of this operation.
