This link will take you to Broward College’s Institute of Public Safety. Fort Lauderdale requires three pre employment tests for non certified candidates; the CJBAT, the Basic Motor Skills test (agility) and the swim test. You must register online with Broward College and complete these tests prior to submitting your application. (Certified candidates are not required to take the CJBAT and may take the Basic Motor Skills and swim tests AFTER applying.) Broward College’s website will also allow you to schedule your tests online. Once you receive your passing test results, you may submit your application to our Human Resources Department. This information booklet provides valuable, detailed information on the required pre employment tests. The booklet also contains the required waiver and release form and the physical fitness assessment form (FDLE 75B). Both of these forms need to be completed and brought with you to any physical pre employment
