The Fort Lauderdale Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred on November 26, 2009 at approximately 1:00 A.M. The robbery took place at 1701 East Commercial Boulevard at a CVS Pharmacy.
Preliminary investigation has revealed that a black male entered the business and approached the cash register. Once at the register, the suspect leaned over the counter and brandished a firearm to the cashier demanding money. The cashier was in fear for his life and complied with the suspect’s demands. The suspect then fled the store northbound on foot.
The suspect has been described as a black male, in his early twenties, and approximately 165 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black sweater with “954” on it, plaid shorts, and a baseball cap.
Detectives believe this is the same culprit who committed the two 7-11 robberies on November 29, 2009.
