The victim died of blunt trauma to the head. His neighbors found him laying in bed. The victim was last seen alive on Sunday evening, February 12, 1995. On Monday morning the victim's pick-up truck was seen leaving the residence. When the truck did not return and the victim was not seen, the neighbors checked the victim. The truck was later found abandoned at 1643 NE 14 Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The victim known to befriend area prostitutes.

The victim arrived at work shortly after 8:00 AM. An employee arrived at approximately 9:30 AM. At this time the front door to the store was locked. The employee found the victim on the floor of her office. The victim had been strangled.
