Community Support

The City of Fort Lauderdale Police Department continues its bicycle registration program. For a $1.00 fee, bicycle owners are provided with a decal that is attached to their bikes. The serial number and owner's information is entered into a database, which is then made available to police officers in the community.

Upcoming bicycle registration events will take place:

Community Support Division Office 533 NE 13 Street Fort Lauderdale, FL 33304 Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Bicycle registration is mandatory for all City residents and optional for non-residents. Enforcement of the ordinance began in January 1999. Bicycle owners MUST BRING the bicycle and fill out an affidavit of ownership at the registration site. For more information, call (954) 828-6400.
